By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson - September
The breezes taste
Of apple peel.
The air is full
Of smells to feel-
Ripe fruit, old footballs,
Burning brush,
New books, erasers,
Chalk, and such.
The bee, his hive,
Well-honeyed hum,
And Mother cuts
Chrysanthemums.
Like plates washed clean
With suds, the days
Are polished with
A morning haze.

John Updike, September

I am from Cracow in Poland. Cracow is famous of his monuments and unfortunately his pollutant air - smog.

@anajsh where in India do you come from? I'm going to India next week. I'm flying to Trivendrum but I will be exploring Tamil Nadu and fly from Chennai in a month's time.

I liked Bat Yam @almog250. I liked Tel Avid too, especially walking by the sea there.

mheredge I live in maharashtra state. Are you from India?
  • mheredgemheredge Posts: 44,838 ✭✭✭✭
I live in France @anajsh but I have travelled many times in India. I find Pondicherry fascinating as this is a small area influenced by the French. It is very curious to hear French being spoken here.

    @mheredge
    Thanks🙏🏻
    I’ve a question?
Is this the only way to mention someone by @ and his/her id?
  • diako87diako87 Posts: 31 ✭✭
    Please some one help me
When I write @ and everyone’s id, it doesn’t mention him!
    What can I do?

When you use @ in front of the person's name @diako87, depending on your settings (I have mine switched off), you will receive a message in your email so you know that someone has mentioned your name. I have this switched off as otherwise I think my mobile would have a heart attack with all the bleeping it would do!
