There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

The best time visiting Sankt Petrsburg from May till July. It is very romantic time of white nights. The winter is very dark and unpleasant.

@nikdero Venice is unlikly to sink due to the flooding but due to overcrowding by tourists. They might soon dirty up this magic city their muddy boots. You have to construct one more Venice, special for tourists or they might overwear it.

@homanmih but I like winter especially snowfall. I know Siberia is the coldest place there. Have you ever faced extremely hot weather there?
  • BubblyBubbly Posts: 29,890 ✭✭✭✭
@homanmih So where is the administration of Venice? They might have proper maintenance, because a number of tourists visit this place.

@bubbli I fed up of overcrowded Rialto and SanMarco. But there are a lot of beautiful corners in the nothern part of Venice. I admire this wonderful city in the dusk.

Sankt Petersburg is the most northerly capital. But the frost and snowfall isn't a problem,
rather white cover make city more nice. Here are some attractive parks and palaces like Petergoff with wonderful sculptures and fountaines that unfortunately are covered by wooden boxes in the winter. And wild fierce russian bears are wondering along streets.

@mitsu4stone This is quite interesting. So, you will be acupuncturist soon and hopefully I will get some treatment from you. :)
Here in Pakistan, there are many acupuncture centers who are working very well. I have some initial information regarding it and I feel its really beneficial for many diseases.

I've been staying in Osaka @mitsu4stone. I'm in Tokyo now and will go back to Osaka tomorrow for the last couple of days before I head to China. The Japanese people are perhaps the kindest people I have ever encountered. I only wish I could stay longer. Next time....

@nikdero, what can I say? Venice is so lovely. I've only been a couple of times, but I went once in the winter and loved the misty waters and lack of crowds.

    > Dreambig Spain-Bull fighting. You must have enjoyed it as its worldwide famous.

Bubbli to be honest, I hate bullfighting. I am from the North of Spain, where bullfighting is not very popular. I prefer to kill animals to survive better than doing it just for fun. But anyway, I do respect everybody's opinion.

@Dreambig I like your approach and I think with passage of time many others will realize this.

@bubbli Many people has already realized about it, but some others still think that this is tradition. In Cataluña, they have already forbidden it, but just there. Perhaps in a few years we will be talking about how great the change was...

@bubbli, @Dreambig Every acupuncturist can combine his doctor skills with dream of someday being a bullfighter, can't he?
  • DreambigDreambig Posts: 13 ✭✭
@homanmih Sure he can, of course, so he can also go right to the hospital hahahaha

@Dreambig There are a lot of holidays and vacation days in Spain. What is your favorite?
Do Spaniards really respect their siestas?
  • DreambigDreambig Posts: 13 ✭✭
To be honest, the first thing I did when you asked me so was searching for it in google, because I wasn's sure. First of all, I would like to say that not everything is as it seems to be. The truth is that we do have a lot of religious festivities, what can I say? We are a really religious country jajajajajaja. I have no favourite, I love them all.

And I think that siestas are not that common. Havent you ever get some sleep in the evening? Never? Ever? We do it, but perhaps not more than the rest of the people around the world. As the old Spanish saying goes: "Coge fama y échate a dormir"

What little I saw of Indonesia @ghufronfawaid makes me want to return. I vvisited East Java a couple of years ago. I spent a couple of days in Bali (very touristy and not as interesting as East Java). Where is your college? You're certainly studying a very relevant and important subject area.
