By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson - September
The breezes taste
Of apple peel.
The air is full
Of smells to feel-
Ripe fruit, old footballs,
Burning brush,
New books, erasers,
Chalk, and such.
The bee, his hive,
Well-honeyed hum,
And Mother cuts
Like plates washed clean
With suds, the days
Are polished with
A morning haze.

@Nil, I always say, "If I can do it, anyone can." It's not rocket science. :)

    Dear diary,

I have been redesigning the lessons. I managed to break the index page several times, but now I think it's looking good. I wonder what @amatsuscribbler thinks.

Hi @nil, very nice your avatar, it is not happy at all but evem better than the other. :D

So, I have you a bonus correction. :))

Always after a period (.) and comma (,) we use a space, try using it in your next posts.

Thank you @Helvio about (.) (,) and space.I will try to use them.

But it is really hard to write like this. Isn't it?
You have to always be careful to don't forget them.

Dear Diary, I'm worried that I'm becoming too relaxed and too lazy!

This morning I got up late, read my book, had a late lunch, found another book and then started reading that one for a few more hours. The most difficult thing I've done all day was to complete a quite hard sudoku puzzle. Never mind, the day after tomorrow I hit the road again and won't be able to relax quite so much - at least for a few days that is!

Always you need space between the words even there is a period or comma.

It will be automatic, you'll see @nil.

    Dear diary
I've just had an exam. that was English midterm exam. that wasn't bad.
Next station the teacher will say my score. If it is good, I will change my avatar to a happy one. And if it is bad I will change it to a really sad avatar.
I hope it will be good. [-O<

Are you in the high school @Nil?
  • [Deleted User][Deleted User] Posts: 657
No @Helvio, I don't know what does it called in English but it is a level before high school or better I am in grade nine.
  • [Ex Member][Ex Member] Posts: 0 Inactive
Ohhh!! So cute @Nill, you are a teenager, that explains a lot of his bad mood!! :))

My eldest is eleven and next year he will start the 5th grade.

    @Helvio being a teenager is good?????????really???

@Nil, Miguel is three, he is very charming, he captivates everyone. But I am his father and I always will tell good things about him, of course. Here I would be called by father owl. Which is the expression in English that express this, a father who loves his sons and tells good things about them all the time?
  • [Deleted User][Deleted User] Posts: 657
    aum. . .
    A good father????
You asked a hard question. Really I don't know.
  • [Ex Member][Ex Member] Posts: 0 Inactive
    I think no @nil!
Calling someone to 'owl father' or 'wol mother'(in Portuguese of course), you are saying even they have a ugly baby they will spread that they have the prettiest baby in the world.
  • [Deleted User][Deleted User] Posts: 657
Owl father or owl mother. . .
    Interesting names.
But I don't think so that there is a special name for a good father or mother. I searched about it but I didn't find any thing useful @Helvio.

They don't call it teenage angst for no reason @Nil.

Being a teenager is awesome, unfortunately most teens don't realise this until it's too late.

You raise an interesting point @Helvio. Are owls good parents?

Here are some of the best fathers in the animal kingdom:-

    Hi Diary,
Some people I had in high esteem are bullying me and I don't know what to do about that. But I have faith someday it will finish.

    Dear diary,
every night the electronic candle flickers in the corridor. It's very handy when you need to go to the loo in the night. I often wake up for this reason, and it sucks. I've heard somewhere that it can be caused by stress and anxiety. Anyway, I slept better last night than I did the past week. I have been meeting influent people and writing to them to have my job loss case solved ASAP. I hope this year's Christmas won't be spoilt by the injustice I have endured so far. I want to enjoy Christmas and be serene and happy. I am not a difficult person. I want justice and peace.
