There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

Ho ho ho @Helvio. Did you dress up as Santa?

In the last two days I have met someone from Bhutan, a woman from Croatia, a few Americans and Brits, a Canadian, a couple of Froggies, lots of Tibetans, some Indians, a lady from the Netherlands, several people from Singapore, a few others from Taiwan, one lady from Hong Kong, and many more from various other countries.

WoW @Mheredge, you are knowing a lot of people, I think they are very lucky! ;)

:D Unfortunately no Marianne, there's no Santa's clothes that fit me. :D

@Helvio, it's me that's very lucky. But you can't possibly be too big to fit into Santa's clothes! He's quite a portly chap, isn't he?

I met a lovely Russian nun from St Petersburg today, and a Tibetan who was standing in the Russian section. When I suggested that he didn't look very Russian, he laughed and said that he used to live there, but in fact, now lives in Vietnam. I guess his Russian is better than his Vietnamese as they are translations in both of these languages. The Slovakians who were sitting near me unfortunately can't stay until the end, so I won't be seeing them again tomorrow. It really is a very international group.

Diary, it will be fun, a week lazing at home before return at work, and I am thinking on going to my mother's home for a couple of days. Yep, her grandchildren will like it.

And @Mheredge I am almost 7' tall, so, if I want to dress me like Santa, and I don't, I would need to pay a seamstress to make it for me. I think it is a low paid work. :P

I am watching The Wolfman, I think @Nil would like it.

I have no idea what it is, @Helvio :)

@Helvio I like scary movies about ghosts and demons and these kind of things that are near the fact, not about werewolves. They are comedy not scary.
  • mheredgemheredge Posts: 40,761 ✭✭✭✭
Dear Diary, I think maybe I'll watch a movie tonight. But it definitely won't be Wolfman or anything scary @Nil and @Helvio. Maybe it will be more like Brideshead Revisited...

I used to be Lucy-vampire. ;) I wouldn't say this is my genre but I admire Anthony Hopkins (he was an outstanding Pierre Bezukhov)
  • amatsuscribbleramatsuscribbler Posts: 3,077 mod
I watched it at the cinema with my mum when I was quite young, in two parts, but I cannot remember which version I saw. However, I was in love with Pierre afterwards, so maybe it was Henry!! :P

Anthony Hopkins can be seriously scary. Maybe I will have to see The Wolfman! I can't download anything for a while, but as soon as I can, I'll try.

    Dear diary,

I hope the people in the Range Rover, which broke down on the train in the tunnel, get their vehicle going.

Such an excellent actor as Hopkins can do everything convincingly. :) @amatsuscribbler which Henry? Do you mean Andrey? Bolkonsky has been always my favourite. :)
