"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

Mathilde Blind, April Rain

"'How long have you been at Netherton?' asked Anthony as they paused by
    the gate of Walden.

    'About six weeks.'

'I wonder we've not seen you before.'

'I've been very busy with my work. Is this where you live?'"

"'It was the nicest party we've ever had at the school,' said Laura, watching as the last of the little guests was lifted into a Bath chair to be wheeled home. 'There was no mistake about their enjoying themselves at any rate.'

'They've had the time of their lives, bless 'em!' agreed Janet."

“I DON'T CARE!" Harry yelled at them, snatching up a lunascope and throwing it into the fireplace. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH, I'VE SEEN ENOUGH, I WANT OUT, I WANT IT TO END, I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!"

I'm not a prude or a puritan, I am just an explorer. :) I have just looked through "I've never been to Me" - last video, and I have heared the word there I didn't expect.

'...you know what truth is? It's that little baby you are holding and it's that man you fucked with this mourning...'

Is it OK to say so? That woman doesn't look like a rock star. I mean I expected her singing 'slept with'. Are there any other permitted cases to use THAT word?

    ... I have heard (hear - heard - heard) ...

... that man you fought (fight - fought -fought) with ...

    morning ≠ mourning

    "I am a virgin again.

    a 70 year old virgin.

    don’t @!~* me, machine

    who cares?"

@Bobmendez, That wasn't what I heard, but quite often singers will use the F word, and with older songs it was done for shock effect. Getting a song banned was a sure-fire way to have a hit on your hands.

Of course "slept with" is merely a euphemism for the same thing, and maybe the singer wants to let us know they didn't do much sleeping.

Now I see. @Hekner is right. It was 'fought' not 'fucked'. Although I have listened that many times, I could not hear it. Charlene is a nice singer #-o

"I am a man. I’ve lived alone. I’ve been in love. I’ve played with
fire, cursed the telephone, and basked in verse, in verve, and also have occasionally
moved a woman’s heart, although I also, famously, had such an awkward start."

"Next Sunday in church Young Thomas looked at Adelia Williams. He caught Adelia looking at him. Adelia blushed and looked guiltily away.

'Dang it all,' reflected Young Thomas, forgetting that he was in church. 'I suppose she has heard that fool story too.'"
