There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

I have watched "Decline and Fall" with Jack Whitehall - a film based on a novel by Evelyn Waugh. :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_and_Fall

Ha ha it is a very funny satire on English mentality in the twenties of the previous century.

Do you play the organ?
Ah, I can't....
Oh, you are just teaching...

He's a very good author. I have read Brideshead Revisited and his trilogy of Men at Arms, Officers and Gentlemen and Unconditional Surrender but I need to check out more of what he has written @Xanthippe.

"Little Lord Tangent has come to us this term, the Earl of Circumference's son, you know. Such a nice little chap, erratic, of course, like all his family, but he has tone." :D
