"Still lie the sheltering snows, undimmed and white;
And reigns the winter's pregnant silence still;
No sign of spring, save that the catkins fill,
And willow stems grow daily red and bright.
These are days when ancients held a rite
Of expiation for the old year's ill,
And prayer to purify the new year's will."

Buying and selling

Do you have any experience of buying and selling? Me and my partner are doing a little of it at the moment, buying things and then selling them to other people to see if we can make any extra money.

I was just wondering if anyone had done this before, and if you had any tips about how to do it the best!

    I'm hopeless when it comes to selling things and usually end up giving them away. However I have just sold my washing machine.

    It is much easier to just give them to someone, which is what I would do if it was something of mine that I was getting rid of, but I don't think that would be a very good business plan!

    Sometimes it's not worth the effort to sell, but if the buyer can take it away, then you can save yourself a lot of trouble. It depends how valuable it is I suppose. When I get back, I'm hoping maybe furniture I had to pay for to transport to the second hand shop might have been sold as this way it will have paid for the expense of getting it out of my flat.
