By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson - September
The breezes taste
Of apple peel.
The air is full
Of smells to feel-
Ripe fruit, old footballs,
Burning brush,
New books, erasers,
Chalk, and such.
The bee, his hive,
Well-honeyed hum,
And Mother cuts
Chrysanthemums.
Like plates washed clean
With suds, the days
Are polished with
A morning haze.

How organised are you?

Today, I have been thinking about Christmas, and it has made me realise that I am not as organised as I used to be. I used to finish my Christmas shopping in September! I think it is because I am now an adult, with other things to think about, so I can't be as prepared as I once might have been.

What about you? How organised do you like to be? Have you always been this way?

I'm not as organised as I'd like to be, unless I'm under pressure, when suddenly I become very organised.

Me too @mheredge, pressure and using a do-to-list gives me a feeling of being able to handle the situation.

I have been so disorganised lately that I haven't even managed to get my act together and sit down to write a to-do list @Hermine!

Marianne, what do you mean by 'act together'?.

To get one's act together means to get organised @Hermine.
