There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

Last week's vocabulary challenge was on art vocabulary.

We will discuss it further in Kitely on Friday.

Can you think of any words we should include in the session?

Can you guess what painter I'm talking about?

His brush strokes are so strong that they seem like stripe patterns. The stripe patterns flow and swirl, shaping the subject, a person, a still life, or a landscape, whatever. The colors are quite vivid, especially the use of blue and yellow is distinctive.

And did you know that those colours are very much the true colours of the places he painted in Provence @Yellowtail?
